Gordon Wilkinson
Career History
I am a Chartered Tax Adviser with almost two decades of experience working in personal tax.
My career in tax started at EY in 2005, one of the Big Four global accountancy firms. During my time with EY, I qualified with The Association of Tax Technicians, then The Chartered Institute of Taxation.
In 2015 I moved from EY to the independent Newcastle firm Ryecroft Glenton. My nine years with RG gave me the opportunity to work with a large number of clients, assisting them with a wide and varied range of personal tax matters.
In 2024 I left Ryecroft Glenton to start my own business, Wilkinson Taxation.
Outside of Work
I am a big fan of music, food and travel. A weekend spent visiting a European city to watch live music always seems like a good use of my free time.
Morpeth Rugby Club has been a constant throughout my life. My playing days are over but I am still involved in managing the club’s third team.
Hill walking has replaced rugby as my main exercise. A seven day camping and walking trip in August 2024 has been my biggest challenge to date.
